Bride of Frankenstein / Holoride

Arguably one of my all time favourite projects - revolutionising in-car entertainment with the Holoride VR platform.

Spatial Creative Studio, REWIND, was one of the first to be granted access to the HOLORIDE elastic-content platform, which took vehicle data points such as speed, location, time, steering, acceleration and braking and merged that in real-time with Unreal Engine powered VR creating entirely unique automotive passenger entertainment.

We were fortunate enough to be given access the Universal Monsters IP and as such designed and developed the ‘Bride of Frankenstein’ VR game from the ground up, reimagining the the titular character for the 21st century.

Deploying to Oculus Quest headsets, that were dynamically connected to the Ford Explorer OEM system, we delivered the first Universal Studios public ride that was outside of the main park, with 3000+ passengers over the course of 4 weeks.
